Pradello

Pradello is a large climbing site that covers five different walls. In total, the site has more than 80 routes from 5.8 to 5.12b. Most of the routes are in the 5.10's and 11's.

This site is the northern most of four sites in this area, and is located up from the Eastern Shore of Lago di Lecco, about 2 km north of Lecco. You park by a small restaurant (which according to the rumors is quite good) and walk along a steep path in to the site. It is a 10 - 15 min. walk and 100 - 150 meters up from the lake.

Pradello is known for good routes like "Vita Sedentaria" (5.10d), "Cioccoblocco" (5.10c), and "Craxi Sale in Taxi" (5.9). It was raining the first time we were here, and many of the routes were wet and slippery. Because of this we decided to climb "Piombo e Strapiombo" (5.9) which has an angel of about 95 degrees and thereby was mainly dry.

The neighboring routes are also worth a try. Among others you will find "Serial Killer "(5.11a)," Prese e Sorprese (5.9), and "Un Posto al Sole" (5.10b). Overall, Pradello is a very good climbing site with a lot of diversity.
