Hauktjern

Large and diverse climbing site in Østmarka

The Hauktjern sites

This well-developed climbing site covers several different walls. In total there are more than 60 routes ranging from 5.3 to 5.13b. Some of the routes are bolted, but many are fully or partially based on your own placements.

Generally, the bolts and fixed gear are in good condition, and toproping is possible on most of the routes.

The site is located along Hauktjern, a beautiful small lake, and good swimming possibilities. It is possible to pitch a tent at an old camping ground not far from "Gamlefeltet".

The sites are located in the middle of the most popular recreation area of East Oslo. This beautiful area is criss crossed by trails and footpaths.
