Kilen

Small crag just outside our door

Kilen

This small crag faces the sea in Kilen. Walk down the small dirt road/footpath about 100m after Jørgensen's Shop, just by a large red house. The footpath leads down to a small pier, and the crag is easily spotted on the right side before reaching the water.

This is a "newly discovered" site, and only a few routes have been put up so far. We have climbed "Spider's Corner" (5.11a), located at the overhanging uttermost corner, after corner easy up left to top. "Tunge fingre" (5.10b) starts inside the big corner, follows crack up and under roof, then around corner and up crack to top.

The site has potential for 10 - 12 additional routes of different grades. We are looking forward to climb some of them when we return to Norway.
