The last days of winter

Skiing in the Hebekk forest

We can feel that it is getting warmer, the days grow longer, and spring is on our doorstep soon. The kids love this weather and plays both out in the snow and inside, even Anna are able to participate fully now - a lot of things are easier when you are able to walk by yourself.

Skiing in the Hebekk forest

This fall and winter has been a bit rougher for us than what we have been used to. Often tired and exhausted, but we have been able to keep a good spirit and a smile at most times. Anna has turned into a little girl - able to walk, drink from her own glass, and her vocabulary have extended to around 10-15 words. It is nice to see that all four play together without to much fighting and arguing.

We have done some refurbishing of our basement, and now two new rooms are ready for use. We two adults have moved downstairs, and the kids into our old room. A bit more space for them (and a bit more silence for us...). We are working on Rebecca’s new room now. She are going to have her own room and have decided almost everything, so here we have pink floor, yellow walls, and white furniture - we're making a high bed with a small desk under as we speak.

At the moment we're waiting for the visa for our new au pair, Alena from Slovakia. Unfortunately, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry is about as effective as other countries bureaucracies, and believe that a month here and a month there do not matter that much - awesomely slow "handling" of an application were all papers are present and in order...
