Sunday March 8th
We went to Venezia on our 1-year engagement anniversary. Early in
the morning we left Milano by train. The Eurostar uses about 3.5 hours from Milano to
Venezia. We walked through the city looking at the many wonderful channels and bridges.
Venezia is different from all other cities in the world and just walking around and
watching the beautiful and characteristic buildings is an experience by itself.
Beautiful weather followed us all day. We managed to cover most
of the old city during the day and had our lunch in the end of a quiet street by a
channel. The train back to Milano was crowded with people and we had to stand the whole
way. Well back home we changed clothes and went to a Chinese restaurant and had a very
good dinner. The trip was a success and we will remember it as close to perfect (except
for the return trip by train). |
